Being the moment…!

Sometimes when we look back at our life, we wonder how fast the time has gone.

Sometimes we wonder if we could re-live some moments and experiences. Sometimes we question ourselves, if we could have lived differently and taken different decision in line with who we truly are.

Human beings have got amazing gift of mind and power imagination associated with it. However, if we do not carefully, cautiously make an effort to stay our awareness in the present, we miss that moment and we miss experiencing that tiny of life.

Our mind is mostly worried about future (what will happen to this and that etc.) and sometimes it is busy thinking about regrets in the past life.

Fact is that we cannot go back to either past of future. It is one thing to remember and celebrate past achievements, successes, relishing memories, but it is another thing to getting stuck in the past and let the present moment pass by.

It is one thing to create powerful vision of who you want to be in the future and propel yourself to take actions to lead your life towards that vision, but it is another thing to occupy your mind with thoughts of future.

The future will come anyway as a present moment and the past you have already lived that moment. So, what is left?  It is just this present moment, which was earlier future moment and soon will become past moment. No one has control over it.

So, what is the best thing we can do? 

To fully present and experience the present, current moment!

If you are eating food, just focus on eating food.

If you are talking to someone, just focus on listening to them and that person.

If you are doing some important work, just focus on that work.

Mindfulness has become very important aspect of modern-day happiness though it was core of many cultures in the past. It simply translates into living the PRESENT moment to the fullest. Being in the moment, being present, right HERE and right NOW!

 

Seasons will come and go,

Thoughts will come and go,

People will come and go.

What remains with us is just we. Just you. You are witness of life that happened to you ,that is happening to you and that will happen to you. It has nothing to do with others. Our life is our responsibility.

Are you ready to be in the moment and be one with life?

Actionable nugget: 

Seat quietly for 10 minutes two times a day where you are not distracted by outer world. Do nothing. Observe what comes to your mind. Do not think and react, just Observe.

This exercise might make you feel the beaty and liveliness each moment and may also help you with reconnecting yourself.
